South Hills Country Club Wedding | Lindsay and James

Although I only met Lindsay and James for the first time this summer at their super fun Point Park engagement session, I felt like I was completely welcomed as a family friend at their wedding. I know some of this is due to Lindsay and James being such open and friendly people, but I must say it also has a lot to do with me being friends with Lindsay’s brother, Eric, and his wife, Julie, and their two adorable boys. Hey, I mean, I remember when Luke was just a bump in his mom’s tummy. So, it was definitely a lot of fun to photograph him as the ring bearer walking down the aisle.

Really, though, Lindsay and James are two amazing people, and their love for each other is so sweet–that was a true joy to capture. You could definitely see their thoughtfulness for each other and their guests in their wedding plans.

I started out the morning at Izzazu Hair Salon in downtown Pittsburgh, where the girls were getting ready for the day. The ceremony was held at Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church in the South Hills, the same church that Lindsay’s mom married her dad at. How cool is that? Their beautiful reception was held at the lovely South Hills Country Club, where everyone enjoyed dinner and dancing.

One of Lindsay’s requests was “lots of pictures of Luke and Ben.” No need to request–who could resist little boys in tuxes?

Meanwhile, Jay was with the guys getting ready…love this shot of James with his father-in-law.

Getting on the dress is always a joint effort.

We had a little bit of time to grab some photos of the girls before the ceremony.

Lindsay–you are stunning. Enough said.

Speaking of cute kids, check out these adorable flower girls.

Love their little bicycle necklaces…

Ooh, I love this shot of Lindsay’s grandma with her mom…her grandma wore the same dress she wore to Lindsay’s mom’s wedding.

Love the look on their faces…

Another little nephew…

By the time the ceremony was over, it was dark, dark, dark. But, Lindsay and James really wanted a photo in front of the doors. I concur–it’s a beautiful church.

We grabbed a few more shots indoors.

Then off to the reception.

Lindsay gave James a regular piece of cake…

James didn’t return the courtesy.

If you look closely, you can see where the garter landed…

Since biking was how Lindsay and James met, they brought a tandem bike for guests to sign, instead of your traditional guestbook. I don’t think they were counting on any guests using the bike, though!

Lindsay and her mom…

And her brother and his wife.

Congratulations Linsday and James!

The angle of the night time shot in front of the church is remarkable and very beautiful. Loved the little flower girl’s attention to her nose and, of course, the pipe organ.
