I heart faces Week 13: Dramatic B&W

This week’s theme at i heart faces is “dramatic B&W,” where all the entries need to be a black and white photo that is “dramatic.” While I’m sure that term varies with personal interpretation, they explain that the photo can’t be a regular portrait just converted to B&W. And, for this particular entry, as long as a person is visible in the photo, we don’t necessarily have to show their face.

When I read the entry description, the only “dramatic B&W” photos I could think of were the ones I took on the night of the huge February snow storm. While the focus on this particular photo is somewhat soft, I kind of think it lends itself to the mysterious coldness of the image. The dark figure is Jay walking back to our house as the snow continues to swirl down.
