I’d been looking forward to photographing Kerry and Josh’s wedding ever since I did their engagement session last October. They are so obviously in love and comfortable with each other–no amount of rainy weather was going to get them down on their wedding day on Saturday.
We began the morning at Kerry’s parent’s house, where Jay dropped me off and then headed over to Josh’s parent’s house. While the soggy weather kept us indoors, we would eventually get a break in the rain for some group photos at the West End Overlook. But, I’m getting ahead of myself.
Kerry and Josh got married at the beautiful St. Mary Church (St. John of God Parish) in McKees Rocks, where her own grandparents got married many years ago. And get this, Kerry and Josh now share the same anniversary (May 22nd) as her parents and grandparents. How cool is that? After the ceremony, we took the rocking party bus up Mt. Washington for some photos. When rain started to threaten, we headed back to the bus and onto the Crowne Plaza Hotel by the Pittsburgh airport for a wonderful reception.
