Pittsburgh Wedding Photography | Angela and PJ

This week has been crazy busy for me, including family visiting from out of town and a quick trip to DC to photograph an engagement session. So, all that to say, I’m only just now getting around to posting photos from Angela and PJ‘s wedding last Saturday. They ended up getting a beautiful spring day for their wedding (sometimes a rarity in Pittsburgh), which made me very happy for them. Of course, I think they would have rolled with rain, too–they were so obviously happy to be getting married that nothing would have fazed them. Their ceremony was held at the lovely Linway United Presbyterian Church, and their reception was at Olympia Hall.

Getting on the dress is always so tricky! It’s one of my favorite things to photograph, though, because you never know exactly how it’s going to go down.

It was a windy day!

Y’all are beautiful.

Things seem innocent at first…

But they quickly devolve!

Congratulations Angela and PJ!

Randi Voss - I love that photo where they’ve just come out of the church and are among the bubbles. They look like they are taking in the moment and really enjoying the wedding experience. Everything looks great! Congratulations, Angela and PJ!!!!

Christina Montemurro - I like that you have a word in your blog post that you don’t hear that often, particularly in the context of a wedding: devolve. But, of course, more than that, I like your photos. My favorite is the second to last, the bride and groom on the dance floor, enjoying a moment to themselves. You can see that they only have eyes for each other.

Rosalee Pfister - I love how you capture the feelings behind the day through your artsy candids. Loved the picture of the vows and the moment caught of the bride. We all know that feeling! I also think the photo of the brides maids posing and you down at an angel really captured that spirited bunch of ladies! Dad with bride-precious! And I must say I love the traditional shot of the entire church during the ceremony- what a gorgeous setting and you get it all in. Wow! You must have to hussel to get up there and back down again to not miss anything! You are an inspiration and I would love to someday take a class from you. Any classes this summer? I don’t know how you do it getting all these posts in with your busy schedule! Way to go and thanks for sharing your art.

Angela Walter - now i cant wait to see all of them!!! you did a great job! i’ve been getting great feedback all day long, especially the pic of my dad and me! 🙂

Milla - Oooh oooh oooh I love that photo of them leaving the ceremony with everyone waiting outside! Beautiful! Great job, Mary!
