I had been looking forward to Tara and Nate’s wedding ever since I met Tara way back in the spring of last year. I loved the vision that she had for her wedding. When I got to meet Nate at their Hartwood Acres Engagement session, I was even more excited for their wedding.
I have to start by saying I loved photographing Jen and Brian’s wedding last Friday. Besides the fact that we had beautiful, clear weather (a rarity for Pittsburgh!), Jen and Brian are two wonderful people with incredible family and friends. Most of you probably know that I’m not originally from Pittsburgh, though I love the city very much now. I originally hail from the big state of Texas, where I spent a lot of my childhood and later graduated from Texas A&M University. So where is this going? For those of you not familiar with A&M, it’s a college with a lot of school spirit–we Aggies love our football (bad though our team has been of late) and our fellow Aggies. Our school has a lot of traditions, and overall, there’s a great sense of camaraderie. Unfortunately, there’s just not a lot of other Aggies up here in Pittsburgh, and Jay and I don’t get to share our school spirit as much as we’d like to.
Actually, most of my photos from my brief vacation with my brother were taken outside of Pittsburgh. Although we did a couple of fun things locally–walking along the North Shore, hanging out in Frick Park–we ended up driving to several different cities for our adventures.
