Pittsburgh Wedding Pictures | Alexis and Brendan

Aside from some early rain showers to bring good luck, Alexis and Brendan’s wedding day a few weeks ago was absolutely perfect. Although they both grew up in the same area of Pittsburgh, they didn’t actually meet until Alexis was working at a local coffee shop that Brendan’s parents visited every morning. Brendan would occasionally come to the shop with his parents, and then he also started working there. It still took a few more years before they officially started dating, but in the end, everything came together and Alexis and Brendan celebrated their marriage surrounded by family and friends.

While the girls got ready at home, the guys enjoyed playing a little pool before the wedding. Then everyone came together for their ceremony at Bethany Presbyterian Church in Bridgeville. And as it would happen, the famous little coffee shop, La Bella Bean, was just across the street from the church, so we got some photos of the bride and groom there before heading to the reception at the Mayernik Center.

One more really neat detail about Alexis and Brendan’s wedding was their transportation. Brendan inherited an antique car from his grandfather, which he painstakingly restored this summer in anticipation of the wedding. It was perfect! So, so fun. A big congratulations to Alexis (now I keep thinking of you as Lento…) and Brendan!

Alexis and Brendan wrote their own vows, which they shared with each other for the first time during the ceremony.

Literally seconds after this photo was taken, a car on the road rear-ended another one (I think the driver was distracted by Alexis and Brendan’s striking good looks). I think it was the first time a bride and groom truly stopped traffic. Don’t worry, no one was hurt.

Cullen - You are awesome!

Nicole - Loved this couple. Every image was beautiful!

Will Burns - The ones with the Classic car in them are great. Very very cool.

Christina Montemurro - Mary, these are all beautiful! I love how well you showed off the long veil. And indeed, Jay did great too!

Katia Forero - Mary, these are all amazing but the image of the bride next to the window with the sun coming in is GORGEOUS!!!I can feel her happiness!

Susie - You definitely had time to practice for this reception!!! Glad to see more of the Mayernik… It’s my favorite place!!!

Nancy - Oh, I forgot to mention the “eye of love.” Very cool.

Nancy - It’s too hard to pick a favorite. I DO particularly like the coffee shop photos and the one you took from outside the car when they were kissing in the back seat. And…thanks for teaching Jay how to take a good shot. Can’t wait to see what he does with Eric!!

mary - Ha ha, so funny, Eric. But I think you’ll have to look elsewhere for a shoot like that. (P.S. Blog world: Eric is a friend and is totally joking…just in case anyone wasn’t sure…)

Eric - Based on these pictures, I’d like to hire Jay. What are his rates? Does he do male boudoir? I’m thinking something like the “Costanza”.

Milla - Mary you rock. And, those old-car photos are AMAZING!!!

mary - Mark–I have to give credit to Jay for those pool table shots. He did a great job!

Alexis - FABULOUS!!! How exciting 🙂

Mark Schwarz - Mary … I thought the pool table pictures were some of the best. The lighting and composition really capture the “rat pack” picture that was hanging on the wall in the background. Good job! Mark.

Brendan - Awesome pictures! We had a great time with you guys, and can’t wait to see the rest!!! 🙂
