Dogs are wonderful. I can’t imagine not ever having one. I love their unique personalities and how each one has their own peculiar likes and dislikes. Of course, I know we infuse dogs with more traits and characteristics than they probably have–but that’s half the fun of it.
Jay and I regularly like to joke about the thoughts Astin has and the conversations we would have if he could talk (I know, cat people probably don’t get this). It often goes something like this:
Jay: “I asked Astin what his plans were for today.”
Me: “And?”
Jay: “He said he’s going to take the day off.”
I’m sure this is only funny to us…but maybe you can appreciate this accompanying photo. Believe it or not, I did not pose him like this. I walked in and found him exactly as you see him.
And the look on his face? It says: “Why are you disturbing my slumber with your silly camera?” Remember, it’s best to just let sleeping dogs lie.

Nicole - LOL We even do it with our cat. I think all us pet owners imbue our pets with more human characteristics than they actually have. But like you said that is a big part of the appeal.

Honey…what do you think Mona is doing?
His answer: “sleeping”
I figured she looked something like your puppy here!!!Till this day you can hear her getting of the bed when we get home…she thinks we don’t know she sleeps in our bed while we are out!I posted an image of her on my blog http://www.kfo-tography.com/blog to show you that we don’t stand a chance against those puppy eyes!
