Back to the ‘Burgh and Happy New Year

When it all comes down to it, it’s just another date on the calendar. Another 24 hours gone forever. But of course, it’s also a date that millions of people across the world celebrate as a sign of new beginnings born from another year’s end. In a few short hours, 2010 will be history. Actually, for some that’s already the case–but I’m going by the clock on my computer. So, I’ve still got some time left!

It’s customary to reflect on the past year–triumphs, highlights, and the not so wonderful happenings, too. Having just gotten back from a great two weeks with my family in Texas, I haven’t spent a lot of time pondering such things, yet.

I do know that I love this city. It’s great to come back home to Pittsburgh. I feel as though I know this town far better than folks that have lived here their whole lives. Getting to work with so many great couples and their families has taken me to all the different corners of Pittsburgh. I love that.

And I’ve loved all the stories I was able to capture and tell this year…I can’t believe it’s over! But I’m looking forward to what 2011 will bring, too. I’m going to be doing some more thinking about what I hope to accomplish…more dreaming…less worrying about little things…and always striving to do better.

Thanks to everyone who has been a part of my life this year and helped make it so memorable! A big Happy New Year to all, and I’ll see you next year!
