My bare feet crossed the cold floor to the window as I reached for the curtains to greet the morning. Snow. Powdered sugar snow had dusted the roofs of houses and side roads while I was sleeping.
For a brief second I was excited, but that quickly faded as I felt a chill from the cold. Somehow, it seems like I blinked and the spring, summer, and fall flew away. I’m not ready for winter.
But a glance at the calendar tells me it’s two weeks until Christmas, and the new year is just around the corner. Yikes. I need to get moving!
I can barely believe I was enjoying the sand on the shore and sunny, warm weather just last week. I’ve been playing catch up all this week and haven’t had time to go through all my photos from the trip yet. I do plan on sharing them…soon…hopefully before winter is over! In the meantime, I’ll keep adjusting to the cold!
