Jenna + Dave + Point Park = Fun Engagement Photos

I am so excited because a couple of new products arrived in the mail yesterday, and I can’t hardly wait to tell you about them. But first things first…I’ll start with Jenna and Dave’s engagement photos (Rebekah and Jason’s wedding photos are on the way!).

This last Saturday morning I met up with Jenna and Dave, who drove in from New York, at Point State Park. Although it appeared a vast majority of the park was still cordoned off (for who knows what), we finally found a way into it and had some fun taking photos. One of the things I love about engagement sessions is the chance it gives me to get to know the couple a bit better. Things are always a little reserved at first, but by the end of the session everyone feels a lot more relaxed (and it shows in the photos). I’m really looking forward to Jenna and Dave’s wedding this July. They are such a neat couple, and their wedding should be a lot of fun.

What could I have done to deserve this look?

Part of a fun series:

I made it!

Well, I managed to finish the half-marathon in one piece…and in 2 hours, 7 minutes and 31 seconds. Not too bad for my first try I’d say. It was definitely a great feeling when I crossed the finish line, but I don’t know how soon I want to try it again. We’ll see…

Here’s a photo Jay took of me back at our house with the point and shoot camera. I look pretty pale in the photo, but I think the camera is partly to blame.

What was I thinking…

…when I signed up to run the Pittsburgh half-marathon?

Truthfully, I had hoped that by putting a goal on the calendar I would be more motivated to exercise regularly. Well, I have certainly tried to do that, but let’s just say things have been busy lately for me. So, I’m really not sure how I’m going to make it tomorrow, but as they say, I’ll just put one foot in front of the other.

My goal? To finish!

I’ll let you know how that goes…

Rebekah and Jason’s Engagement

I’m so excited about Rebekah and Jason’s wedding tomorrow! I came to know Rebekah through a friend of mine–Liz (Liz and Rebekah are sisters–and incidentally enough, Liz is getting married this September, and I’m also photographing her wedding).

Anyway, I’ve really enjoyed getting to know Rebekah and Jason, and it’s great to see how they love each other. I’m especially excited because I’m going to be spending pretty much the whole day with Rebekah and her bridesmaids as they get ready. I love the wedding day story, and in my opinion, it starts long before the bride gets to the ceremony site. So, it’s going to be fun to photograph the emotions and events of the entire day. Since we did their engagement session last fall–pre-blog days–I’ll share a few on here now.

And the sisters:
