Maryland Family Lifestyle Photography | William’s Family

I love the toddler stage–those slightly unsteady legs and the endless curiosity. There’s always something new to discover, and it’s a joy to see a little person developing their personality. Recently I spent time with such an adorable little guy and his parents, capturing a weekend morning hanging out and having fun.  A family lifestyle session is the perfect way to make those life stages stand still–if only in photographs. I highly encourage families to consider it when they think about updating their family photos.

It’s clear to see William has quite the imagination and loves playing and exploring. I so enjoyed photographing him and his family (and let’s not forget the cat Smudge). Also…if you’re a Star Wars fan, you must check out the coolest kid’s rocking thing I’ve ever seen–a wooden Tauntaun!

Here are a few of my favorites from this session.

Angie - Gorgeous photos!

DC Newborn Photography | Baby Lilah

This precious little newborn already has a sweet older brother who loves to shower her with kisses. Getting a new sibling can be tough for little ones–you never quite know how they’ll react when Mom and Dad are holding someone else in their arms.  But it’s definitely a joy to see a new big brother or sister welcome the newest member of the family.

I so enjoyed capturing little Lilah with her family, especially because I got to document big brother Jackson’s entrance into the world not too long ago.  A big congratulations to the family!

Here are just a few of my favorite images form this newborn session.

Maryland Newborn Photography | Baby Cole

This new guy is quite adorable, and I so enjoyed photographing him with his parents and four-legged “big sister” Sammie.  Cole doesn’t know it now, but I think Sammie will be a great playmate when he gets bigger. He surely is surrounded by love.

Congratulations to the new family! Here are just a few of my favorite images from this newborn session.

DC Family Lifestyle Photography | Theo, Ethan, and Fynn’s Family

I recently spent a fun-filled morning with a sweet family in DC photographing them just hanging out and being together on a Saturday morning.  This was an especially enjoyable session as I had photographed the youngest little guy’s birth a few months prior.  He sure had grown!

Theo and Ethan are great playmates (OK, I’m sure they do their fair bit of fighting as siblings do…but they also know how to jump around together and have fun), and I’m sure Fynn will be quite happy to join them when he gets bigger.

I know I’ve said it before, but family lifestyle sessions are some of my favorite kind of sessions to do–the photos grow in meaning and significance as time goes on and kids grow up.  It’s easy to forget routines and the little nuances of your children as they change. That’s why I love to document families in the moment.

And here are just a few of my favorite moments from this session.
