Fall Family Photos | Emmie, Georgia and Family

There’s something irresistibly beautiful about the fall…cooler weather, lovely colors, and the anticipation of all the holidays ahead of us. It’s also one of my favorite times to take family photos.  And while this year my fall photo season is being cut short due to the upcoming arrival of baby number two, I did manage to fit in a couple of fall sessions with changing leaves and warm colors.

First up is this adorable family session taken in a local Cheverly, MD park.  This family of four is expecting their own new addition coming this winter. A big congratulations to the bigger sisters and their parents. Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

Virginia Newborn Photography | Baby Adeline

‘Tis the season for babies! I love photographing these little ones, and it makes me even more excited for the arrival of my second child hopefully later this month!

Speaking of little ones, this has to be one of the sweetest, most content little newborns that I’ve photographed.  What a joy to capture this new family together in their home in Virginia. A big congratulations to Adeline’s mommy and daddy!

Virginia Birth Photography | Baby Christopher

I know I’ve said it before, but photographing a birth is such a special privilege–even when I don’t actually get to be there for the “moment” the baby arrives.  If you’re thinking about having a birth photographer at your baby’s birth, but worried that a c-section will mean you won’t have any meaningful photos–please reconsider! While it’s true most hospitals won’t allow a photographer into the operating room, that doesn’t mean there’s not an amazing birth story to be documented and cherished.

Baby Christopher’s birth story is one such sweet event. The anticipation and excitement of welcoming a new member into the family is there no matter how the baby arrives! I so enjoyed photographing this birth story…a big congratulations to this sweet family. Here are a few of my favorites from the day.

Maryland Maternity Photos | Stephanie and Family

There are few things more beautiful than an expectant mother. Sure, our bodies change dramatically in the span of nine months to where we can sometimes hardly recognize ourselves…but it’s such an amazing gift to be able to grow a child.  I love taking maternity photos to document that special moment in the life of a family.

This beautiful, precious family is excitedly anticipating the arrival of their next family member.  Readers might recognize the vibrant red-headed sister-to-be, Priscilla, from previous family sessions.  I was so glad I was able to capture this next chapter in this wonderful family’s life.
