NYC Baby Photography | Baby Rinnah

Hello dear neglected blog of mine. It’s been a busy past few months! Fall came with its usual jump in family photo sessions (which I love), and then the holidays hit with the fun, family, and friends that we all so enjoy.

And well, there’s a been a few other things going on, too.  Come this June, Jay and I are expecting to welcome another sweet little one of our own into our family. Harriet is very excited to be getting a sister…and Frederick just has no clue!  All that to say, I’ve been pretty busy the last few months.

Now I’m looking forward to spring and some great family and newborn (not to mention Cherry Blossom) sessions coming up.  In the meantime, I wanted to share a few photos from this New York City baby session for some dear friends of ours. We recently traveled to the Big Apple where I took a few photos of baby Rinnah–whose arrival was long awaited and hoped for. She is so loved.

Also, the hat mishap has got to be one of my favorite photos…ha, it’s a completely real moment.

Capitol Hill Family Photography | The “B” Family

Yes, fall is here, and with it come lots of beautiful and fun family sessions. Here is one such family session taken on Capitol Hill. The leaves hadn’t quite changed yet, but you can see the lovely fall light filtering through the trees.

I so enjoyed catching up again with Ben and his parents and capturing his great personality. Here a few favorites from this family photo session.

DC Family Photography | The “J” Family

I love this time of year because it means I get to photograph a lot of wonderful families. And that makes me smile. You know what else makes me smile–editing this family’s photos from their session. I couldn’t stop smiling back at my screen at the joy on their faces!

I recently met up with AJ and Alex and their mom and dad and aunt at the National Arboretum in Washington, D.C.  And lots of laughter ensued.

Here are a few favorites from this family session.

Virginia Birth Photography | Baby Luke

It’s always an incredible honor to photograph a birth, and this one was no exception.  I’ve been photographing this sweet family for several years now, and I was able to be there for their second child’s birth a couple of years ago.  So it was especially meaningful to document their third little one’s birth back in August.

Such a strong mama…an amazing birth and a beautiful baby. Here are a few favorites from this Virginia Hospital Center birth. (Photos shared with permission)
