I knew that Julie’s attention to detail and love of travel would mean she’d have a fantastic looking reception, but I was totally not expecting just how elegant and beautiful Julie and Darryl’s wedding was at the Pittsburgh Golf Club. This was by far one of my favorite reception locations, and Julie’s details were so incredible that I’m going to have to share them in a separate post. For now, though, I want to share the story of their fun and beautiful wedding day.
The morning started early with Julie and her bridesmaids getting their hair and makeup done. Then it was off to the gorgeous Heinz Chapel in Oakland for their ceremony. Due to Julie and Darryl’s great planning, we had a good two hours for photos around the city, which was so much fun. We even managed to get free reign of the Roberto Clemente bridge due to a Pirate’s game. After some great photo taking time, we all headed back to The Pittsburgh Golf Club for Julie and Darryl’s Spanish flavored reception with great music by the talented Jeremy Ganss. A big congratulations to these two!
I loved Julie’s choice of blue shoes! And what a fun place to take pictures–in the park!
Julie looked gorgeous.
It was also Julie’s grandmother’s birthday, and they surprised her with cake…well, a piece of cake and a candle!
Julie had a “just married” parasol, so we pulled it out at the end of the night and braved the lingering rain shower for a photo.
Once again, congratulations Julie and Darryl!

Sumer Schmitt - Beautiful photos, Mary!! It’s so funny because I literally just coordinated the same wedding a few weeks ago…a Heinz Chapel ceremony with a Pittsburgh Golf Club reception. It was my first time at the Golf Club, and I instantly fell in love! This venue is definitely a hidden gem!
Milla - You rock Mary. And I agree… I’d get a huge wall canvas of that as well. Love it.
Mark - The road shot (#14) is awesome…. i’ve done similar stuff like that and the young people love it, the parents “dont get it”. Too bad their not huge sellers— I’d make a wall canvas of that one
