We almost managed to avoid the rain on Saturday for Erin and Ken’s engagement session at Hartwood Acres.

Pittsburgh Engagement Photography at Hartwood Acres | Lia and Dave
Sometimes I don’t get to meet my couples until we do their engagement session because they live out of town. That was mostly the case with Lia and Dave. Although I did get to meet Lia a few months ago, last night was my first time meeting Dave…and their two adorable dogs, Chi-Chi and Cha-Chi. We decided to meet up at Hartwood Acres north of Pittsburgh since the place is so lovely and dog friendly.
Lia and Dave grew up in the Pittsburgh area and got to know each other when they worked together in college. But it wasn’t until a couple of years later when they ran into each other again that things really took off. Though, they might not have, considering their first date was a bitterly cold Steeler’s game where poor Lia dressed for cute instead of the cold and had to hide out in the bathroom to keep warm! Stories like that kind of make me not want to go to a Steeler’s football game…or at least one that’s in the winter! Now Lia and Dave live far away from the cold in sunny L.A., which was why I only just got to meet Dave yesterday. They both said the quietness of Hartwood was a welcome break from the noise of their city.
I am so looking forward to photographing their wedding in September at the Pittsburgh Athletic Association. It’ll be here before you know it! (P.S. Click on the “click to view more” to see the whole post if you don’t see it now).
