Reading a Book a Month

One of my goals for this year was to read at least one book every month. Growing up, I always enjoyed reading, mostly fiction, but since college I’ve rarely made a habit of it. It’s so easy to get distracted by tv, movies, blogs, facebook, emails, etc, and books end up being last on my list. Since I wanted to track my progress, I decided to join goodreads.com, a site where you can post reviews of books you’ve read, see what your friends are reading, and find new books to read. And I’m proud to say I’m keeping up with my goal of a book a month.

If you’d like to see what I’ve been reading, feel free to join me on goodreads here.

With all the traveling these past couple of weeks, I managed to finish three lovely books: Anna Karenina, On the Eve, and My Cousin Rachel. I think I have a Russian author kick going now, but I need something new to read for the rest of this month and April. I also want to add some non-fiction business related books, and I have a few suggestions from speakers at WPPI. Any ideas and suggestions are welcome! What are you reading now?

Nicole - Eric just finished reading a book by the CEO of Compassion International. He has been raving about it so I am about to start reading. It’s called Too Small to Ignore by Dr. Wes Stafford. It’s about his life as an MK as well as much more.

Hmm… maybe I’ll join goodreads with you!

Nicole

Christina Montemurro - I’ve read a couple nonfiction books recently that I would not recommend – but I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed Dale Carnegie’s How to Win Friends and Influence People. So if you haven’t read it, I recommend that one.
