Pittsburgh Ice Cream Shop Engagement Photos | Jen and Brian

Although Jen and Brian grew up in the same area, they didn’t actually meet until they were both attending Slippery Rock University. There they discovered they had a lot in common (both are teachers) and enjoyed hanging out together. They both enjoy watching the Pens play, and Brian ended up proposing after they won the Stanley Cup last year. It’s a good thing he didn’t wait until this year…

We decided to start their engagement session in Pittsburgh’s Strip District, where we had some fun hanging out in this cute old-fashioned ice cream parlor, Klavon’s (warning, site opens with music!). If you’re in the area, you should definitely check it out. Later, we drove to Oakland and were lucky enough to find part of the Phipp’s Conservatory Garden still open. We ended the session at one of their favorite restaurants, Mad Mex. I love it when couples integrate things that are special to them in their engagement sessions.

Jen and Brian are getting married in June and having their reception at the Shannopin Country Club.

Thanks for the fun session! I’ll see you two in a month!

Karey - Hey, I recognize some of those locations! 🙂 These are great – as usual!

Leeann Marie - Ohhh Mary you just broke my heart throwing in that little “good thing he didnt wait til this year”. :*(

Either way, great photos. I, too, love it when couples want to integrate things they like to do into their engagement sessions.
