Yes, that’s right. You read it correctly. Pumpkin patches aren’t just for parents who want to torture their kids by making them pose by a myriad of orange-colored vegetables until they create the perfect holiday card–no, they are also for adventurous couples (read: kids at heart) who want to have a fun engagement session in a beautiful pastoral setting.
Seriously, I really enjoyed Emilie and Max’s engagement session that started at Shenot Farm in Wexford and ended at Pittsburgh’s lovely North Park. Emilie loves all things fall, and I thought her idea of starting the engagement session with a hayride was really great. And Max kindly obliged and enjoyed the fall festivities before we headed to North Park to take in some of the beauty of the lakes and trees. While Emilie and Max met in North Carolina, sharing many of the same classes in college, Max originally hails from Michigan and enjoys the water (sorry, our little pond doesn’t quite compare with Lake Michigan). I had a great time getting to spend the afternoon with them, and I’m looking forward to their wedding at the Allegheny Country Club in the spring of 2012.
Here’s just a few favorites from their session. P.S. A happy belated birthday to Emilie, whose birthday was yesterday!
