His eyes give me a searching look.
He knows. I can see it on his face.
He’s seen the tell-tale signs…he’s watched my every move. It all seems to point to one thing.
And yet, he hopes, not quite sure.
Finally, I break the suspenseful silence:
“Astin, do you want to go for a WALK?”
Before the last syllable has left my tongue, I receive my answer in the form of a paw stomping, tail wagging, joyful jumping fury of excitement. I really needn’t have asked.
