Coffee House Engagement Photos | Christine and Sean

Their first date was over coffee one cold day in December 2007. Christine went home and told her mom she met the man she was going to marry. It took Sean just a little bit longer to come to a similar conclusion about the woman he was going to marry.

On Saturday I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with Christine and Sean. I say pleasure because it was truly a joy to witness their love. I was particularly struck with the kindness they showed to each other, which can be such an easy thing to take for granted in a relationship.

After starting their engagement session at the Beehive, a funky South Side coffee shop, we ended up at their apartment where Christine and Sean obliged me with a private concert. Christine is seriously talented and blessed with a beautiful voice, and it was particularly moving to watch her and Sean sing to and with each other. But enough words, let’s see some photos.

Christine and Sean have been talking about getting a puppy. I think they decided they wanted a Golden Retriever.

Renae T (Sean's Mom) - I loved all the pictures, but my favorites are the black and white of Christine holding Sean’s hand, true love was so visible in that photo, outside with Christine laughing while Sean is looking at her, Christine her beautiful smile and her profile in the window behind her were so alive, and Christine and Sean playing with the puppy, with that one I could hear Christine laughing and I could feel the happiness and love by the expression on Sean’s face both through a photograph, very hard to do. Very Beautiful, you can sense how much they love each other through the photos.

ChristineG - Mary, I love these!!! Sean does, too!! Our favorites are the second one (the black and white one with our hands and the coffee), the one with the puppy, and I LOVE the one with me laughing wearing the scarf (my mom said that you captured the “essence of my laugh” in that picture)…but we loved them all! Thank you SO much. We are so lucky to have you as our photographer!
