Beautiful Summer Bouquets | Wedding Inspiration

I’ve probably said it somewhere on my blog before, but good flowers and well-designed bouquets are essential to completing your wedding ensemble. While white roses will always be a beautiful classic, it’s good to explore all the colors and textures you can incorporate into your bouquet. From a photography standpoint, I personally recommend adding some sort of element of color to contrast with your white wedding dress–even if it’s just some simple greenery. Having a pop of color not only makes your bouquet stand out, but it also can compliment your dress and wedding theme.

Here are just a few favorite bridal bouquets from this summer. I love the variety of every one of them!

The navy blue accents really give dimension to this white bouquet.

Here’s the same bouquet contrasted with a green-accented bouquet. Both are lovely.

These two bouquets are perfectly light and summery but have completely different looks. The left is more refined–perfect for an indoor reception, while the right one’s rustic look compliments the outdoor wedding theme.

These two bouquets have the same theme of pink and white.

And these two bouquets boast cooler colors. I love the intense purple against the white of her dress.

Colleen - Beautiful flowers! What kind of flowers are in the first bouquet that are white with the navy blue in the center?

David Dunton - Wow, very cool feature, Mary. Pitch this to “Brides” or “Professional Photographer” or some magazine. I don’t know if an article like this has been done recently, but if not, it seems like a winner to me.

Emilie - Beautiful post, I love flowers and can’t wait to see how my selections turn out on the wedding day. You should also do a post on all the different kinds of boutonniere’s. You survived all the crazy weather lately unscathed, I hope.
