Last night I held my first of the two spring workshops, which was Understanding Exposure. Four wonderful ladies showed up, and we all had fun photographing our awesome models, Pamela and Mark. Pamela is a talented Pittsburgh photographer in her own right, so it was great having someone who knows what to do in front of the camera. She’s also getting married this October, so a big congratulations to her and Mark!
After going over some of the basics of exposure, I had the attendees jump right in and start practicing shooting in manual mode. We availed ourselves of the sunset light outside the studio for some shots before heading back indoors for more.
I love Pamela’s laugh.
Ha, I love this.
Pamela and Mark–y’all are beautiful people.
I promise this isn’t some crime scene from CSI.
We went back outside when it was dark to work with the building’s lights.
Don’t be afraid to shoot in the dark…when you control your camera’s settings, you have the power to create images anywhere (a good lens helps, too!).
A BIG thank you again to Pamela and Mark for being our models! I enjoyed getting to meet everyone, and I’m looking forward to next week’s workshop. If you want to sign up, there’s still time. Check out the details here.
