Renee and John’s Engagement Shoot at Observatory Hill

On Wednesday I wound my way up to Observatory Hill, where I met up with Renee and John for their engagement photos. This was a fantastic location for pictures, and the weather was perfect.

I loved getting to hang out with Renee and John, chatting about how they met, how he proposed, and somewhere in between Renee’s broken right foot. Which, I could relate to, as I broke my right foot a few years ago (and in a round about way is how my husband and I got together). But back to Renee and John–they both have such charming good looks and interact so well together that it was impossible not to get some great shots (and no, I don’t think they look corny at all, Renee!). I had a hard time picking my favorites, but here are a few. I’m looking forward to their wedding in October. Enjoy the Memorial day weekend everyone!

No lie, this was their first shot–pretty good I’d say.

Renee and John were brave enough to climb up on part of the building:

I love the blue and orange color contrast here:

Now for the tricky part.

Ali and Andrew’s Wedding–5/9/09

Ali and Andrew are such fun people, and their wedding was no different. From when I first walked into the room where Ali and her bridesmaids were getting ready, to the end of the night of dancing and celebration, I enjoyed every minute of their day.

I met up with Ali and her bridemaids at the Greentree Inn. Ali didn’t let the heat (was the air conditioner really working?) get to her, and the girls had fun getting ready.

Later, Ali and Andrew exchanged vows at St. Pamphilus Church in Beechview. There was a moment of hilarity when their dear priest, who was having a busy day–funeral in the morning, accidentally called Ali by another name. It made for some good laughs. Afterward, we headed over to Dormont Park for some group photos at the “castle.” My favorite part was the children’s reaction when they saw the bridal party stepping out of the limo. “Oooh, they just got married!” Lastly, we went back to the Greentree Inn for a great celebration with family and friends.

Ali has some of the most amazing blue eyes I’ve ever seen.

The girls had a lot of fun.

This has to be one of the cutest ideas I’ve seen yet:

Ali was a good sport.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

I love my Mom–she’s the greatest. Though, growing up she always told us she was the “meanest mother in the whole wide world.” I think that was to counteract any of our complaints and whining about the rules.

Thanks Mom for all of the support you’ve given me my whole life. Have a great birthday!
