Pittsburgh Wedding Photography | Katie and Brad

I knew it was going to be a great day. After all, August 20th is a mighty fine day to get married, if I don’t say so myself. But beyond the special date, I knew Katie and Brad’s wedding was going to be wonderful because they are two kind and generous people with incredible families and friends to boot. Not only that, their ceremony was held at New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Monroeville and officiated by Pastor Jack, possibly one of my biggest fans. (long-time blog readers may recognize him from a few other weddings he’s done before that I photographed). It’s always fun to have supporters like that!

After getting hair and make-up done, the girls headed to the church to get ready, while they guys played games in the nursery. Yeah, where else were they going to hang out? Following the ceremony, we headed over to Oakmont for photos before joining the reception at the Riverside Landing. A big congratulations to Katie and Brad!

This was a first for me. As Katie was getting ready she got a phone call. It didn’t sound like anyone she knew…who would be calling her on her wedding day? But suddenly everyone realized it was the answer to prayer they’d been waiting for. The call was the job offer Katie’s been trying to get for months. How awesome is that?? It was such a blessing to have that load lifted off her…especially on her wedding day!

Katie looked stunning, and I loved her bird cage veil.

Another favorite.

And to top off a fun evening, Katie and Brad surprised Jay and me with a cake to celebrate our 5th anniversary! I was totally not expecting that! I’m so thankful to have such incredible clients! You can see I already started devouring it before I took a picture.

Thank you both for your thoughtfulness, and a big congratulations!

Beth Pifer - I didn’t realize Katie got married in Oakmont! Beautiful bride, beautiful pictures!

Milla - oooh ooooh oooh love the shadow-y speaker on the wall. Awesome!!!

Jack Wilson - Why wouldn’t I be a fan? Utterly professional, nearly invisible (incredible ninja photo skills), amazingly talented. Another wonderful job!
