Kennywood Park Engagement Photos | Sarah and Rick

I had been looking forward to Sarah and Rick’s engagement session long before we ever planned it. You see, I’ve wanted to do an engagement session at Kennywood for a long time. What made last night’s session especially fun, though, was that Kennywood has some special significance for Sarah and Rick. It’s not only where they had their first date, but it’s also where Rick proposed–right in front of the merry-go-round (or carousel, if that’s what you call it!). I love it when couples choose locations that are meaningful to them.

And we had a blast! Seriously, it was so fun, and Sarah and Rick are just wonderful people in and of themselves. I can’t wait for their wedding in August! Oh, and this means I can check one more thing off of my goals for 2010.

There were a lot of firsts for me…riding and photographing on a swing was one of them!

I love Sarah’s expressions here.

They got to ride the new ride at Kennywood, which looked like fun!

And then we took a little break after the rides.

Then it was time to play games.

We headed back to the swings to grab a couple of photos as the light began to fade.

Love this.

So, so fun! Can’t wait to see you two next month!

Randi Voss - These photos are fantastic! As a former Kennywood employee, I do not have a romanticized view of the park (haha), but these make me want to reconsider my opinion. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the night time shots. Low light and motion, I’m drooling. I like the speedboat racing too. Beautiful again.

Brittany - oh my gosh – these are unreal! I love that you capture them DOING something…and something fun + totally awesome at that! LOVE these (especially those carousel ones with the motion)!

Nancy Shaver - These are wonderful Mary! Very fun and creative! (I just hope they ate lunch AFTER the roller coaster rides!)

Milla - Awesome job, Mary!! My two favorites are the b/w one with the roller coaster waaaaay in the corner and the chairs from underneath. Stunning!!

Sarah Chumbley - Great shots Mary! They had such a fun idea to get on the rides too!

Christina Montemurro - What fun to do something so different! I love all the night shots, especially with the carousel moving in the background.
