Carnegie Museum of Natural History Wedding | Melissa and Ryan

On the first really cold wedding day this year, Melissa and Ryan tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at Heinz Chapel. They managed to incorporate both their families’ rich military traditions throughout their day, including a sabre arch at Heinz Chapel. I was especially impressed with Ryan’s 90-year-old grandfather who also participated in the sabre arch.

Their incredible reception was held at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in the breathtakingly beautiful Hall of Architecture, and apparently (sadly, too!) theirs was the last reception to be held in that gorgeous room. I was glad I was able to capture their story there before the museum closed that room to receptions. A big congratulations to Melissa and Ryan!

Instead of stuffing cake into each other’s faces, Melissa and Ryan tricked their best man and maid of honor and gave them a surprise.
