On the last weekend in October, Sarah and Chris went to the chapel to get married–Duquesne University Chapel, to be specific. Their wedding was so much fun, as they celebrated the entire day with their family and friends and ended the night with a great reception at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Oakland. The day was also particularly special to Sarah’s family, as her grandparents were celebrating their 62nd wedding anniversary on the same day.
I also have to say that Sarah and Chris’s bridal party was one of the most fun I’ve worked with. They have such a great group of friends who were not only supportive of the two of them but also just wonderful to be with and up for anything I (or Sarah and Chris) suggested. We also managed to get pretty decent weather for the end of October, even getting some photos with the remaining colors of fall on the trees. A big congratulations to Sarah and Chris!

What you don’t see is the cold spray from a nearby fountain blowing onto the unsuspecting bride and her family. It was a bit chilly that day!
As soon as I saw this groomsman (on the left), I knew I recognized him but couldn’t figure out where I’d seen him before. After some sleuthing, I finally figured out he was a guest at Brie and Tyler’s wedding. See–I may not remember names, but I always remember faces. And by the way–Tim–I’m coming to the next wedding you’re attending! (Just kidding…I think)

The Mellon Building was like Grand Central Station for wedding parties. They should really start handing out tickets. There were about 4 or 5 groups that were there or came through when we were there.
I’m not much of one to cry, but older people somehow always get me. Sarah’s grandparents are incredible!
