I can think of only one major downside to traveling to visit family for Christmas. And that is that I have to leave my sweet dog, Astin, behind. Sure, he’s kind of ungainly and not exactly cute and fluffy (though I think he’s cute), but I love him a lot. And I miss him when we travel.
The good news, though, is that wherever we go, there’s other dogs to keep us company. Last year I met my Mom’s new dog, Rudy, a Swedish Vallhund. Well, this summer she went and got herself a companion for Rudy–Missy.
Missy is cute, sweet, and loves Rudy. Yesterday we took them both to a local dog park for some fun in the warm weather. Ah, dogs are great.
Speaking of cute, how adorable is this puppy Welsh Corgi?
I seriously wanted to take this dog home with me.
Don’t worry, Astin, your haven’t lost your place at home.
