Friends and NYC Street Photography

One of the nice things about my trip to NYC last week was getting to catch up with a couple of friends. I stayed with my childhood friend, Bonnie, who is also getting into photography herself. And then I spent a morning catching up with Sherry, who was on my team at the Foundation Workshop. It was fun to recount our shared experiences, and we spent an hour or so wandering around Manhattan with our cameras.

Naturally, Sherry and I had to stop in at the bakery where Bonnie works…or did work (that was her last week there). Yay for good photographer friends!

So today’s photos are just a few personal pictures from the trip.

I love Sherry’s purple coat…some bright color in an otherwise drab day!

This is Bonnie’s roommate’s kitty–Chicken. Yes, a cat named Chicken. If ever I was going to get a cat, I’d want it to be like Chicken because she basically acts like a dog.
