Let’s face it, it’s nice marrying someone who is a couple years older than you. They break in all the “scary” numbers first, so by the time you arrive at the milestones, they don’t seem that old after all. Today is Jay’s birthday….but not just any birthday…his 30th. Yes, he is officially done being a 20-something and is now entering the early stages of middle life. But somehow, 30 doesn’t seem that old to me anymore. In fact, it has a nice ring to it. More maturity. More wisdom. A real ”grown up.” It’s something to celebrate, not dread.
So happy birthday to my dear husband. Words cannot express how thankful I am that I married him. Here’s to the next 30…40…50…maybe even 60 years together. I love you, Jay.
