More Big News | Astin Move Over

What Astin doesn’t realize as he sleeps peacefully on the couch everyday is that in a few months time, he is going to be replaced. Well, that’s not entirely true. I mean, how could anyone possibly replace such an endearing face as this?

OK, that’s not very fair to him. Here he is looking a little more “with it.”

But what will happen come late December or early January is that he will no longer be “the baby” of the house, coddled like a child, indulged, and pampered. Instead he will probably be neglected, ignored, and forced to endure terrible privations as Jay and I welcome home our first “real” baby and grapple with all the challenges and changes that will bring. Yes, that’s right. We’re expecting Baby Schwarz to arrive around the first of the new year!

We could not be more excited. This year will definitely go down as the one filled with the biggest life changes. New job, new city, new house, new car, and new baby. The only thing old and familiar is sweet Astin. Poor dog…so unsuspecting.

For those of you wondering how far along I am, I’m officially into my second trimester, yay! Which, I must admit, my lack of blogging these past couple of months has been due in part to extreme exhaustion. I really had to conserve my energy for the necessary things…so blogging took a backseat. But now I’m feeling my energy return, so yay for that. I guess that means I’m also out of excuses if I don’t blog.

And for good measure, here’s a picture from Baby’s first “photo shoot.” Although it looks like the child only has duck feet, I promise we saw two legs and arms! I think I see a future photo assistant…what do you think?
