DC is a special place for Christian and John. While they both met and live in Boston, they spent a lot of their relationship in DC, with many fond memories enjoying the city’s locales. I loved exploring the city with them when they came in town a few weeks ago for their engagement session. I have a lot of favorites, but for now I just want to share one quick preview.
So I might be a bit biased…but this is one of my new favorite subjects to photograph.
I feel bad that I didn’t really give Harriet a proper newborn photo session, so I am determined to make up for it with dedicated photo sessions for her three, sixth, ninth and one year milestones. Honestly, it’s hard to believe that she’s already three months old! Well…maybe the bags under my eyes from sleepless nights give it away.
And yes, I realize I’ve become that mom…you know…the one who truly believes her baby is the cutest thing in the whole wide world. 🙂 I mean, it’s true, right?
– me too, imagine I didn’t even know there was a typhoon coming, I only learned about it on our young customers in the shop why they were here so early in the day
Harriett is a cutie & the images are great!!! Is that Love Life in Savage?!?!? All the best!
MARY!!! She is perfect! Love the bubbles she makes!
Oh my goodness Mary… ADORABLE!! Wow, that sweet little girl is getting so big. Beautiful, beautiful work!
But she is the cutest (girl) baby! I just want to squeeze her! Love these photos!
I shared a preview a few weeks ago of Julia and David’s Rockville engagement session, so I wanted to follow up with a full post today. We met up near their home at a park on a chilly afternoon in March (of course, we missed the blossoms by a week!), and then we actually finished the session at their house.
One of my favorite things to do during engagement sessions is photograph my couple in places that are meaningful and familiar to them. What better place for that than your home?
Here are some of my favorites from the session. Enjoy!
A beautiful couple captured so beautifully!
Finally, it’s time for the 2011 Favorite Wedding Contest…better late than never I say! One thing that I’ve held in the past is an annual “Favorite Wedding” contest, where friends, family, and fans vote for their favorite wedding of the past year and the winning couple receives a beautiful Standout print. I didn’t want to leave my 2011 couples hanging, so without further ado…today marks the beginning of this year’s contest.
Here’s how it works:
1. Start by “liking” Birchtree Photography’s Facebook business page and then locating the 2011 Favorite Wedding Contest album.
2. Find the photo of the couple/wedding you like the most and “like” their photo.
3. The couple with the most likes wins the prize: a 20×30 Standout Print of a photo of their choosing (a $750 value).
Contest begins April 2nd and ends next Monday, April 9th at 11:59pm. So start voting!
Danke!
